Hey Everyone. Tom here. Some of you have probably seen the “11-29-2016” picture that we have tried to circulate around Facebook these past few weeks. Well today’s date is 11/29/2016, so I think it’s time to announce something.
On February 7th, 2017, we are releasing “The Gates of Heaven,” which is a concept EP about what I was going through after Jae Min died. The EP features three songs that detail what I was going through this past spring, and they also offer a message of hope for people who have gone through the unexpected loss of a loved one.
This is an EP that I’m hoping will become larger than my feelings about Jae Min’s death. This is something I’m going to dedicate to anyone who has felt similar pain to what I have felt, and I hope that this EP brings comfort to a lot of you.
To celebrate this release, Fordham Road will be hosting a show on February 4th from 1-4:30pm at The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA. Our set list will be the EP in it’s entirety, this will be the first time we have performed these songs live and it will probably be the only time that you will all get a chance to see us perform every note of the EP top to bottom, so make sure to mark February 4th on your calendars now. Tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Also performing at this show will be Yankee & The Foreigners, The Justin Arena Project, Amanda McCarthy, and Dreamer & Son. I hand picked these other artists to perform with us on this show because their music helped me cope with Jae Min’s death, so I hope that their music will help you if you are going through a difficult time. Make sure to check out their Facebook pages and again make sure you’re there on February 4th to see them perform!
Attached to this post is the EP Cover Artwork. Thank you to Justin Arena and Cameron Francisco for making this for us.
I would like to thank everyone that has been there for me recently, and I want to thank every Fordham Road fan for their continued support.
I love you all
